A: There is always room for improvement, otherwise why would commonwealth and olympic swimmers need coaching.  Our teachers, as well as providing coaching themselves, they also receive coaching.  We can help you with better breathing, stroke techniques to enable faster, more efficent swimming.  Personally, I used to think that to swim faster my stroke had to be quicker.  It was only when I was shown better technique (and a slower stoke!) I found I could move through the water quicker, with less effort which also mean't I could swim further.

Q: Why adult lessons?

A: Why not. Most people would have liked to have learned to swim as a child, but for some this wasn't possible.  This is an opportunity that we didn't want anyone to miss out on.

Q: What do you class as an adult?

A: This was a good question but doesn't haven't have a strict answer, so sorry it's a bit woolly.  We have decided that an adult is over the age of 14, but who must have the maturity to listen to the instuctor and not be a disruptive influence to the class.  They must also be accompanied by a responsible (real 18+) adult.

Q: Who might your coaching help?

A: Anyone who wants to improve their swimming. This can also include anyone involved with sports, to improve their overall fitness levels, anyone involved with masters swimming, people who do triathalons, also very important for people starting out with triathalons (so as to prevent injuries), school sports teachers, anyone looking after children who takes them swimming, you name it, we can find a good reason.

Q: What is the cuddly dragon called?

A: His name is Snort and he's been around in several shapes and forms for about 15 years.  He is a character I made up for my daughter when she was small and tell her stories about.  He was brave, shy, frequently saved people, but was always home in time for tea!
